Chief Executive Officer – Mr. Symon Kamore
Mr. Symon Kamore has served in the institution since 2003 and risen through the ranks to become the CEO. He has previously served as Head of Finance for 5 years, Finance Manager for 3 years and Internal Audit Manager for 4 years.
He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration double major in Strategic Management and Finance, Certified Public Accountant (K), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) – ISACA, Bachelor of Education in Sciences, and has attended various specialised trainings, among them Taxation and Strategic Leadership of Microfinance Institutions (Harvard Business School)
Mr. Ezra Kirimi
Ezra Kirimi heads the Internal Audit Department. He holds a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration (Finance Option) from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Double Mathematics and Physics from University of Nairobi. Additionally, he is a Certified public Accountant CPA (K), a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Mr. Isaiah W. Munguti
Isaiah joined SMEP in 2017 as the Head of Credit Operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology. Isaiah is a Certified Credit Professional and has an Advanced Diploma in Credit from the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland. He is also a certified SME Finance Expert from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
He has over 12 years banking experience, 8 of which have been in credit. He started his banking career in Co-operative Bank rising from a graduate clerk to a supervisor in Credit Risk department. He has also previously worked for Commercial Bank of Africa as an assistant Manager, Corporate Credit Analysis and in Faulu Microfinance Bank as a Credit Risk Manager.
Human Resource & Administration
Miss Rose C. Bii
Rose has over 14 years experience in Human Resource Management. She holds a B.Ed (French) degree, a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management and is currently pursuing an MBA (Strategic Management) at the University of Nairobi. Before joining SMEP, she worked at Equity Bank Group ( both in Kenya and South Sudan) and had also previously worked at TNS Research International and at St. Andrews Senior School in Turi.
